Micayas’ Performance Workshop 2010!

All who enroll in this workshop WILL perform in “Mission in the Mix”
at Dance Mission Theatre the last 2 weekends of June!


THIS EXPERIENCE IS AMAZING! HERE’S WHY….
*All levels of dance experience are welcome- from absolute beginner to advanced.
*Students will perform not once or twice, but 6 times!
*Students performance skills will improve dramatically.

Cuteness

I teach kids classes every Wednesday which is a nice change of pace in the middle of the week. They allow me the opportunity to really be in the moment- so to speak. It can be exhausting though. I really admire people who are with kids ALL day long. That takes stamina!
They ARE pretty cute though and that really helps when they get frustrating. Some of them look like little baby dolls- oh god!

Right now they are ecstatic because they are performing this Sunday. My 5 year olds are dancing to the Sccoby Doo song by Shaggy and wearing Scooby Doo costumes. Talk about freakin cute!

My 6-7 year olds are dancing to Lose Control by Missy and wearing hippie costumes and my 8-9 year olds are wearing gangster suits and dancing to Pump it Up by Joe Budden.

Come by if you can. It is at the Marin Civic Center in San Rafael . Little kids show is 4:30 and older kids show is at 7:30

I Am Back!

Thanks for your patience, I am now back to my regular blogging ritual. I had a "unplugged' phase during the holidays when I spent minimal time on my computer. Wonderful!
Batteries are now re-charged and I am now ready to keep you updated with SoulForce, classes, SF Hip Hop DanceFest and LIFE!

Lets begin with the music I have been using-- last week "How Low" by Ludacris and this week "Code Red" by Omarion

I am fervently working on getting the dates locked down for my performance workshop. As soon as I get them solid, I will post them here. The performances (Mission in the Mix) will be the last 2 weekends of June!
