What We Look For:

*Professional Dance Companies from all over the Globe (Any size, from solo to group)
*All styles of Hip Hop and Hip Hop Fusion
*Use of Hip Hop styles in unique and interesting ways
*Use of Hip Hop Dance in a theatrical way
*Social Content/Commentary
*Artistic Quality
*Extraordinary Technical Skill and Ability


IF Hired:

SFHHDF PROVIDES-
*Travel expenses and/or performance fees
*Travel arrangements, ground transportation and some meals
*Sold Out shows at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre
*Invitations to attend all VIP events hosted by the SFHHDF
*Network Opportunities
Media coverage

BOOKED COMPANIES MUST PROVIDE-
*Companies MUST provide a HIGH RES URL, BIO and PHOTO
*Companies must submit/audition THE SAME PIECE that they intend to perform
*Pieces must be between 6-9 MINUTES long
*Dancers must have visas/passports to travel to the U.S.

TO APPLY:

Companies Who Wish to Perform at the 2010 SFHHDF Have 2 Options:

1 Submit Footage

OR

2 Schedule a live audition/performance

OPTION 1. TO SUBMIT FOOTAGE-

*Upload HIGH QUALITY footage of the exact piece you intend to perform (6-9 minutes - full cast and costume) and send the link to info@sfhiphopdancefest.com
OR
*Mail HIGH QUALITY DVD or video footage of the exact piece you intend to perform (6-9 minutes - full cast and costume) to:

It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to submit as soon as possible!
The show may be booked before deadline!

OPTION 2. TO SCHEDULE A LIVE AUDITION/PERFORMANCE-

*Live auditions will be an open to the public performance; “SFHHDF Audition Show”
*All companies auditioning will perform at “SFHHDF Audition Show”
*SFHHDF will charge admission to the public to attend the “SFHHDF Audition Show”
*Only the SFHHDF Panel will make decisions regarding the booking of companies
*Companies must audition the exact piece they intend to perform (6-9 minutes - full cast and costume).
*“SFHHDF Audition Show” is September 19, 2010, Cowell Theatre, San Francisco.
*All companies must schedule an audition/performance time
